Memories of 2023: Embark on the Year’s Five Most Popular Adventures!

Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024!  A special thank you to all my clients for making 2023 a great year of adventure planning around the world.  It brings me such joy to witness amazing memories being made through experiencing clients’ adventures through their photos and post-travel emails.

So, without further ado… pack your bags and let’s revisit the top five destinations where our adventurers created unforgettable memories this year!

Alaska’s majestic landscapes have been a siren song for nature lovers. Whether you travel by boat, train or car, Alaska provides plenty of opportunities to surround yourself with its vast gorgeous landscapes and large variety of wildlife that makes Alaska’s plains, mountains, rivers and sea home.  Combine the best of both worlds in Alaska and take time to experience its wonders by sea and land.  It’s no surprise why Alaska was the leading destination in 2023 and even leads for adventures in 2024!

#2: Pura Vida Paradise: Costa Rica’s Natural Wonderland

Costa Rica proves that you don’t have to fly halfway around the world for an exotic escape that encompasses not only adventure and nature but also relaxation and beaches.  With the rich biodiversity of the rainforests, the laid back friendly pura vida lifestyle, the abundance of activities for any age and thrill, and the absolute beautiful landscapes, it is no wonder why Costa Rica was one of the top planned trips for 2023.

#3: Whispers of the Arctic: Iceland’s Majestic Wonders

An adventure in Iceland is like teleporting to another planet with high shooting geysers, dozens of waterfalls, miles of untouched terrain and majestic volcanos.  You may choose to travel to Iceland during the spring and summer months to experience warmer weather and long days of sunlight while witnessing the annual return of the puffins and whales surrounded by the lush landscape as the ice melts. Or perhaps you want to visit in the fall and winter with hopes of seeing the northern lights and adventure within the ice caves and snowcapped glaciers. Portugal, nestled as the most western point in Europe, has been a hidden gem that is beginning to grab the interests of adventurers young and old.  With its warm hospitality, rich history, quaint cobblestone streets, stunning cliffs of the Algarve, and amazing culinary delights Portugal offers it all.  Let’s not forget to mention that Azores provide an archipelago offering a balance between adventure and serenity.
